“Peace is a complex process that needs many actors to be successful. Insects For Peace aims to be one of these actors, helping to develop circular agriculture through insect production.”

Insects For Peace in Colombia mainly aims to help small farmers who used to be members of the FARC, and all the people affected by the conflict. Most of them are women, who have lost their husbands and children in the conflict.”

“The circular approach is the key: some insects can transform organic waste into a component for feed and you can use the insect waste as biofertilizer. Insects, as a low-cost feed component, could make smallholder farmers to depend less on expensive imported feed.”
